Being a Disciple

So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

I made a  choice  to be a disciple of  Jesus Christ when I was 24 years old  ,   which I am now  50 years old .  Jesus is worthy to serve him  ;  I love going out and preaching the word of god  and sharing Jesus’s love and forgiveness to those people who  he tells me too .  to me my light must always be shining for him ,  you just never know  what  someone is going through in their life.  So when he tells you to speak to them about him .  Do it  because they need to hear from our heavenly father ,  I know how much  Jesus forgave me .  I  am truly grateful for his forgiveness ,  People need to hear that  no matter what they did , they have an advocate with the father ,  his name is Jesus ,  our lord is wonderful , there is no other life to live but  to be his and his disciple forever.

For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.

Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.

“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
